Kevin Kettler, PhD Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Kevin Kettler serves as Chief Executive Officer for ME Television. Dr. Kettler has been an active investor in ME Television since the company’s inception in 2005.
Prior to his role at ME Television, Dr. Kettler served as the Chief Technology Officer for Dell Inc. He was responsible for the design, development, and performance analysis of core architectures for Dell’s product portfolio which includes Client, Server, Storage, Imaging, and Consumer products.
Dr. Kettler brings to ME Television over 25 years of management experience. Prior to joining Dell in January 1996, Dr. Kettler worked at IBM Corporation for 12 years, holding various positions in support of, or developing personal computer systems. Dr. Kettler has published several papers and holds several patents.
In addition to his position at Dell, he has served as an Adjunct Professor of Electrical Engineering at the University of Texas. Dr. Kettler sits on several advisory boards for Universities and small startup companies. Dr. Kettler is also a founder of a non-profit organization in Austin – Charity Partner’s of Austin which focuses on raising funds for family oriented charities in the Austin regional area.
In addition to his role at ME Television, Dr. Kettler runs several small businesses in the Austin area including a wine bar in downtown Austin – Cork and Company, a restaurant/bar on Lake Travis – Brizos, and a general contractor business – K2 General Contractors.
Dr. Kettler received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Lehigh University and his Masters and PhD degrees in Electrical Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University.
Kevin ConnorVice President of Music Programming
A native of Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Connor’s first tenure was at college radio station, WLUR (Washington & Lee University -- Lexington, Virginia). Arriving in Austin in 1981, Mr. Connor worked at a series of local radio stations when, in 1986, he was recruited to Z102. In 1990, Mr. Connor joined with others to create 107.1 KGSR – Radio Austin, combining rock, folk, blues, reggae, country and jazz (as well as hundreds of live in-studio performances) in a unique format – enjoying both critical and commercial success over the years, KGSR is now one of Austin’s top-rated stations.
Mr. Connor served as host of the weekday morning broadcast, “The Kevin & Kevin Show”, as well as “Lone Star State of Mind”, a weekly live broadcast that features Austin and Texas artists on KGSR.
Mr. Connor served on the Austin Music Commission from 1998 to 2003, including four years as Chairman. In 2003, he volunteered to oversee the operations of the Austin Music Network during a period of transition between management groups.
In addition to his broadcast responsibilities, Mr. Connor is very active in supporting a number of local charities, such as Family Eldercare, the Miracle Foundation, Lance Armstrong Foundation, Austin Children’s Shelter, and the Christmas Bureau.
Philip HaleyDirector of Operations
Haley worked for top production companies in Dallas, Ft. Worth, and El Paso Texas starting as a cinematographer and editor of product and marketing films for Rockwell International Defense and Consumer Electronics Divisions. A Texas native, Haley attended Trinity University and the Dallas Theater Center.
Mr. Haley has over 25 years experience in programming and technical management, and television/film production. In 1984 Haley joined Radio Shack National Advertising then the largest in-house advertising agency in the U.S. He served as Director of Broadcast and Audio Visual Communications, staffing in-house and contracted personnel and designing two new studio facilities in Ft. Worth and Dallas, Texas. This organization was responsible for hundreds of films, regional corporate events, video and multimedia programs seen by personnel and customers at 7,000 stores in the US and Canada. As the production company of record for all Radio Shack and Tandy Computer broadcast projects, Haley’s team produced an annual stream of national spots seen on programs such as 60 Minutes, the Olympics and Super Bowl games.
Beginning in 1992 Haley served in positions at Time Warner Cable for the next thirteen years, initially creating a 24/7 local news, public affairs, and community programming channel for the Time Warner Cable - Dallas/Metro system. Later Haley moved up to regional work as Manager Creative Services for the Southwest Division developing commercial insertion systems for 35 cable network channels in each of 15 Texas cities and towns including supervision of digital distribution of cable advertising and training local production crews throughout the Texas Region.
Haley and family volunteer with Friends of Balcones Canyonlands, Lago Vista PAWS, and the Lago Vista Players in the Austin area.
